What is Nutritional Counseling, and How Can It Help You?
Our diet can profoundly impact the state of our current and future health. Understanding the relationship between nutrition and human health plays a critical role in determining our physical, psychological and emotional well-being.
Poor diet, food sensitivities and/or a diet lacking in vital nutrients can cause systemic inflammation in the body. Over time this chronic exposure compromises immune function putting us at greater risk for developing diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, autoimmune disease, fatigue, migraines, digestive disorders and/or distress, IBS, obesity, depression, anxiety, infertility, stroke, cancer and gout – just to name a few.
When it comes to nutrition, no two people are alike. That is why diets do not work, or at least not sustainably. Your nutritional needs are as unique as your fingerprint and should be treated as such.
It is important to remember that your family history is not your destiny and your diagnosis does not define you, there is always something you can do to improve your health and live a vibrant life; and it starts with your diet.
